O3 Medya Builds a Mansion from Scratch for “İstanbullu Gelin”February 03, 2017
A two-storey mansion has been built with all characteristics of Traditional Bursa houses in a spacey garden and with a pool besides a Turkish bath for “İstanbullu Gelin”, the TV show Produced by O3 Medya, featured by Özcan Deniz and Aslı Enver, and broadcast by Star TV with great audience interest.
The Wondered About Design and Construction Process of “Boran Mansion”:
The onsite surveys and studies were made one by one at the houses that bear the region’s historic fabric for designing the space where Boran’s, one of the well-established families of Bursa, live. The two-storey mansion that has all characteristics of Traditional Bursa houses in a spacey garden and with a pool besides a Turkish bath has been designed and built from scratch instead of leasing or merely building its façade. 3 different teams of 35 members each took part separately for the workshop and decoration activities in the construction of Boran mansion that was erected at Beykoz Shoe Factory in 5 months on an 800 m2 indoor and a 100 m2 outdoor area. 20 truckload of cement, 6,000 longitudinal profiles, 1,500 plywood boards, 3 tons of paint, and 45 m3 timber were used in the mansion’s construction. 600 m2 cobblestone paved path was made. Landscaping for a 1000 m2 of green field was made.
After completing the civil works, the mansion’s interior decoration was done. None of the furniture or accessories inside the house was purchased at stores or as ready-made goods. Everything was specially designed and manufactured. The mansion’s interior decoration was completed in 2 months and 9 bedrooms, an office, a saloon, dining hall, and kitchen were designed and furnished. 1,200 meters of fabric was used only for the mansion’s curtains.
Based on a real life story, İstanbullu Gelin is broadcast on Star TV at every Friday night with its escapist script and strong casting.
